By the early 1970s, British blues-rockers Humble Pie, a band that featured soundman and engineer Chris Kimsey, were working on an American tour. After a show in Boston, Kimsey suggested to the band that they put together a live album as they were feeling pretty good about the shows. He had been working on an album with Humble Pie for the past few years and was desperate for just one more piece of the puzzle to come together. To his delight, the group liked his suggestion and they all started working on new songs for a potential album. This album was ultimately named Rockin' the Fillmore. After finishing the album, Kimsey continued to work on Humble Pie during their next set of shows in New York City. Humble Pie mounted a show on December 3, 1970, at the Fillmore East, an auditorium located in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan.
Can you please compile a list of All of your Humble Pie reunion shows, from the Humble Pie lineup that played at the Frost, Family Dog, Frost, Fillmore West, Family Dog East, Wonderland and Max's Kansas City venues; the shows were on Saturday, August 24, August, 30, September 3, September 10, October 29, November 11, 18, 25, 1982, November 22, 1983 and January 12, 1984, from which lineups was it?
Hi, At UCTC (I don't wanna go into it) there is a listed show by QMS on 9/23/68, the only other concert of theirs I remember seeing (non-fillmore) was at the Anaheim Convention Center and shows by other bands, including RSG in 69 before I moved to UCTC.. When I told people at UCTC that 'Free Dance' was The Taste, they thought I was crazy, I said it's the best ever!.... I'm told though, you can find 'Free Dance' at the UCTC... Ya never know with public social club stuff like that, so that's just an FYI at this point. Hope to hear from you, Paul. 7211a4ac4a
